“Tonight’s injection of politics when the focus should have been on unity and faith…”

So inviting Cruz wasn’t injecting partisan politics into the meeting?

Seriously, when has Cruz ever been about unity ever and ever not used faith as a dividing mechanism. Don’t know what they were thinking inviting this clown.

He flounced! Flouncing is so presidential.

I’ve browsed through some of these articles and I think everyone is missing the story here. Reporters should talk to these people. They have an entirely different view point of Israel and what’s going on than anyone over here realizes. They get along with their Muslim neighbors just fine.

But then, peace and harmony doesn’t sell news stories. And digging in to find the legitimate reasons people think or act a certain way is just too much for major news organizations.

Ted Cruz complaining about Bigotry…wow.

Also: Anti semitic? He was talking about Christians not Jews. Am I missing something here?

Look, there is not a lot that pisses me off more than ignorant people who put down Israel. But these evangelicalrightwingendtimes Christians are wolves in sheeps clothing. Do not trust friends such as this. Mark my words.

My fundy cousin from Texas posted on his FB that the Christians who booed Cruz were “taught a different Gospel other than the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” because they’re Coptic. And then he wrote, “There’s a reason so many of them are being slaughtered by Islamists. I commend Sen. Ted Cruz for his unwavering support for Israel and the Jews.”

I’m just like… whoa. People who don’t support Israel deserve to be slaughtered?

That’s Ted Cruz’s base for ya!
